Stefania Wilton
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Grandmother Stefania.
Stefania was born in the small village Bucyki, Poland on April 1, 1929. During the Second World War she suffered hardships and persecutions in Soviet Russia. Later she lived in various Polish refugee camps in many different countries. Arriving to Canada in 1949, married Tadeusz Wilton in 1951, and together raised three children.
Left to mourn her passing are her son Andrew and wife Janice, son Peter and wife Donna, daughter Dorothy and husband Shane. Grandchildren Andrea Stellmach and husband William, Sean Wilton and wife Cindy, Colleen Manson and husband Tom, Christine Nimchuk and husband Joshua. Great-grandchildren Fiona Wilton, Stephanie, Jonathon and Victoria Stellmach, Maxwell and Amelia Manson, Henry Nimchuk, sister-in-law Dora Rajfur and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Aleksandra and Josef Rajfur, husband Tadeusz, brother Tadeusz Rajfur, sister Josephine and brother-in-law Edward Rolland.
The family would like to thank the staff at Residence Despins and St Joseph’s Residence for the wonderful care they provided Stefania.
A private family service and interment will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined.
